The mission concerns the way in which power is practiced in the world. [...] The mission is profoundly conflictual because the present population of the sick, dead, lepers, and demon-possessed is not an accident. [...] The walk is to cure, the restoration of broken humanness to full creaturely well-being. The talk is to assert the nearness of the new rule. [...] The talk makes the walk possible, and the walk is to heal, to break all vicious cycles of diminishment that violate the intention of the creator. [...] It requires at-risk human bodies acting in obedience to the alternative to break that alien ruler, to make restoration of life possible.
