Red Alert
Recently I am very conscious that Satan is at work in Vancouver. Big work.
Really do pray hard for Vancouver. It has become such a stronghold of Satan that many positive spiritual efforts have been kept from effective. The spirit of negativity hovering over us is getting more and more horrible...
And in fact it's not just in Vancouver. This is what I received a few days ago from a church elsewhere:
There are few challenges in ministry as difficult as being called upon to give painful and sad news. Such is our responsibility today as we inform you that the Rev’d Dr. Xxxxxx X. Xxxxxx has engaged in an inappropriate relationship with an adult female parishioner. As a result, the Rt. Rev. Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx, Bishop in the [denomination], has changed Xxx’s clerical status within the [denomination] to “inactive,” revoked his license to function as a priest, and removed him as senior pastor of [name of local church]. Bishop Xxxxxxx, acting in his position as our spiritual authority, has followed [denomination] policy for such pastoral situations, and the vestry of [name of local church] fully supports his decisions. We believe these actions are consistent with a Scriptural and pastoral model for faithful, responsible ministry and accountability within the church.
How sad.
Be really alert.

Hi Alan, you don't know me, but I find your blog very interesting to read =)
Yes, the church is under heavy attack from Satan this year, especially when people disagree with doctrinal and ecclesiological issues. I'm in the denomination you mentioned and it is indeed very painful.
However, I realized one more thing. Our sensitivity to our own sins are dramatically lowered when we think we are fighting for truth and standing on God's side, pointing out the sins and heresies of others. Not that truth is not fighting for, but that's the most dangerous position a Christian can have. That's why clergy like that one you have mentioned and people like Ted Haggard fell from high above. It's very sad....
Let us all be very cautious and alert. It can happen to anyone.
